Barkskin Instant cast 12% of base Mana The druid's skin becomes as tough as bark. All damage taken is reduced by 20%. While protected, damaging attacks will not cause spellcasting delays. This spell is usable while stunned, frozen, incapacitated, feared or asleep. Lasts 12 sec.

Notes

• Barkskin will also mitigate damage from falls.
• Barkskin can be used while in all forms.

Tips and tactics

• This spell gives you the opportunity to cast a healing spell without interruption.
• This spell is especially useful if you are a Balance druid, since it allows you to cast Hurricane without interruptions. The same applies to Restoration druids and Tranquility. Even though you can still be interrupted by some special attacks, it's the only way you can efficiently cast these spells in battlegrounds.
• Barkskin is a life-saver in PvE, especially if activated just before a shift into Bear Form. There are situations where a Druid becomes both stunned and DoT'd for which Barkskin is the only relief: e.g. being sacrificed by Illhoof.

Past changes

Patch 2.3.0 (11/13/07): Barkskin cannot be used while under the spell effect of Cyclone.
