Eastern Kingdoms is also sometimes considered a continent.APG 162 The Eastern Kingdoms lies to the east of the Great Sea, and to the west of the Forbidding Sea. The central Eastern Kingdoms are dominated by the Khaz Mountains and the Redridge Mountains. Both cover several regions. Its western counterpart is the continent of Kalimdor.
The Eastern Kingdoms include the three or four continents of LordaeronLoC 85, Khaz ModanLoC 33, 66, and AzerothLoC 40, and sometimes Quel'Thalas. They are the home of the undead, dwarves, gnomes, blood elves, humans and the few remaining high elves.
A map on the Blizzard web site and the Warcraft RPG shows the Eastern Kingdoms as divided into three continents:
Quel'Thalas makes up a fourth continent in some maps, and within various articles as well. Though most of the time it appears that the Eastern Kingdoms is divided into only three continents.
